Our Mission

Our mission at KAFU is to support the poor innocent peoples of Volodymyr in Ukraine.

Background

Ever since the Russian invasion in February 2022, the suffering of the innocent people of Ukraine has worsened..

In addition to the mass destruction and killing, the lives of the Ukrainians is unbearable. Are our sons and fathers still alive? Where will I get food from? Where will we sleep tonight?

In those 4 years, there have been 17 humanitarian trips from Knareborough to the town of Volodymyr.

The trips include basic items which we all take for granted - walkers, mattresses, wheelchairs, laptops, paint, sweets, etc. Perhaps, the most important were two fire engines to rescue trapped people in high-rise blocks. To date, they have rescued over 70 lives.

Knaresborough has now been twinned with Volodymyr to further enhance our ties..

Current Project

Our current project is to raise £20,000 to bring a junior football team from Ukraine to play in Yorkshire
